Из разных стартрековско-мемуарных книжек:
(Изначально Энтерпрайз должен был называться Йорктаун) "The Yorktown was to be captained by the "unusually strong," "colorful," incredibly brilliant, handsome, capable and charismatic Captain Robert M. April (y'know, I can't help but think Gene had me in mind for the role all along)." - пишет нам неподражаемый Билли Шатнер.
(О том, как они встречали нового режиссера для очередного эпизода) "Later on in the day, Bill and Leonard were trying to explain the “Spock pinch” to director Bob Sparr, who didn’t know what it was all about. Bill explained, “Here, let me show you what it looks like.” He went over to Leonard, and applied the Spock pinch. Leonard just stood there, smiling. Bill tried again. Nothing. Then Leonard said, “ This is how it really works.” He casually applied the pinch to Bill, who promptly fell down, unconscious. Sparr just stood there, incredulous. Star Trek is definitely not a show for new directors."
Как представлю себе эту сцену, особенно лицо режиссера, так начинаю хихикать. Как пишут в треде, ссылку на который я уже давал, "ну как их можно не любить, зайчегов наших!" И правда.
(Опять про проблемы режиссера с актерским составом) "After reading through a few lines of dialogue with Bill Shatner and Leonard Nimoy, the director [for that episode] turned to George and said, “Ok, and at this point Sulu fires the phasers.” And he indicated a particular button on Sulu’s instrument panel. George promptly replied “No, that’s not the right button. The phaser button is this one over here.” The director gave him a kind of funny look and said, “What are you talking about? What difference does it make? This is a soundstage, remember? Push the button and let’s get on with the scene.” George steadfastly refused to push the button, saying “If I push that button, it will make the Enterprise explode!”"
